Meet Our Launch Director
Hi! I’m Macrae Hanke! I have the privilege of working with the steering committee and board of trustees to launch Clemson House over the next year. My wife and I moved from Washington, DC to Pendleton, SC at the beginning of July and I started full-time in August. Please get in contact with me - I’d love to meet you!
God has long been at work in Clemson, South Carolina through the university’s students, faculty, and campus ministries. There are many thriving local churches in and around Clemson. I’ve seen firsthand the strength and enthusiasm of this university’s alumni network.
The aim of Clemson House is to unify these pieces: to be a physical hub for in-person fellowship and conversation, to make the valuable work of campus ministries more visible, to be a resource for students seeking good local churches, and to serve as a portal for alumni to learn about - and give back to - what God is continuing to do in Clemson.

Clemson House is a Christian Study Center. This movement is one of the most strategic Kingdom initiatives in higher education today. Like research institutes, these centers promote study - the study of scripture and the Christian tradition - relating Christian faith to every academic and vocational pursuit. Like student centers, they afford space for conversation over meals, structured events and life together.
Imagine a spacious building that welcomes students, faculty, and alumni, gives them a place to be themselves and asks them to join in for regular discussions and study. Imagine a world class facility dedicated to conversations about what is good and true that is also a warm home. Imagine a hub that cultivates refreshing, vibrant social and educational activity. You have just imagined a study center.
